Riding the teacups at Myrtle Beach

After several days in Ocracoke, we headed down to Myrtle Beach to vacation with Doug's side of the family. We went over to "Broadway at the Beach" where the old "Pavilion" rides were located. I took Sam on the teacups. You can see Uncle George and cousins Sam and Emma riding in the teacup next to us. I hope to have other Myrtle Beach pictures posted soon...

Happy Birthday...really this time...July 11th.

Grandma made a wonderful cake for Sam for his birthday...he was unsure of it at first but then he jammed it down his throat! Granddaddy and Grandma gave him a beach ball for one of his gifts. Doug blew it up and Sam really enjoyed batting it back to him while in the high chair.

Daddy got a little life vest for Sam so we could take him out on the boat. We were running out to a sandbar when we hit the wake of another boat....he just smiled and laughed! He's quite the brave little guy. We got to the sandbar, anchored, jumped off and walked to the beach. He was able to get out the of the life vest for a bit and play in the sand.

Headed to Ocracoke!

We drove up to Jacksonville, NC to stay up at Grandma Adams's house so we could drive to catch the 7:30am ferry over to Ocracoke last Saturday. Sam was still in his jammies because we had to wake him up at 4:45am to drive there! These pictures are of us on the ferry and Sam was pretending to drive.

Happy Birthday....well, almost.

Sam loves strawberries so I made him a strawberry cupcake for his birthday....he loved it but then I think he became aware that everyone was staring at him so he got upset!

We had the pack and play outside to corral the kids every once in a while....Sam was in here with her friends Ashlyn, Mia, and Brody.

Sam's Birthday Bash

We decided to celebrate Sam's birthday with our friends on July 5th since we will be out of town on the 11th. We cooked out, swam in the pool, and ate cupcakes....it was a lot of fun!
