Christmas morning

Granddaddy and Grandma Adams came down to spend Christmas with us! Sam got his first tricycle....he wasn't quite sure of it at first, but I think that he enjoyed it.

Sam's visit with Santa

Sam definitely DID NOT like Santa.....it took everything I could to pry him off of me to sit him in his lap. Oh well, this what memories are made of right? He won't remember a thing and he'll laugh about this when he's older....I hope :)

17 Months

Christmas presents are starting to show up on our doorstep now. Sam loves playing in the boxes with the peanuts!

Playtime with friends

16 months

Sam is just about 16 months now and he has me running....seriously. He's become quite fast on those two chunky legs! It was such a nice day that we took the rocket out on the driveway. He's still trying to figure out how to move it forward on his own...he has backwards down pat.

Halloween

Sam was a lion for Halloween...unfortunately he didn't like the hat portion of the costume. By the time we went out (we went to a friend's neighborhood) he was starting to get good and grumpy so there was hardly a chance to get some great pictures. We stopped along the way to see some friends....including Steve and Mary.

15 months

We went to a fall festival today down in Fort Valley at Lane Packing....a very large peach orchard. Sam loved the tractors!

No Hat, No mittens....you get "the bubble"

It was REALLY cold this morning....like 45 degrees cold. Sam wouldn't keep on his hat or his mittens for our morning run. He just kept pulling them off so I broke out the "bubble".

The State Fair

Doug and I took Sam to the state fair today and it was quite cold. Cold enough for Sam to wear a jacket and a hat. Unfortunately he wouldn't keep the hat on....I tried several times. He loved the animals but his most favorite thing was the roasted corn. Doug gave him some of his but eventually Doug just snapped off the end of the corn and gave it to him. He worked on it for awhile! Sorry I couldn't get any pictures of him with the animals but he was on the move (he's full on walking now) and it was hard for Doug and I to wrangle him, the stroller, and the camera!

Elliott Farms

Today Sam and I met some our friends out at Elliott Farms to see animals and visit the pumpkin patch. (Sam, Doug, and I will be going on Sunday to actually pick pumpkins.) We borrowed a little wagon, piled the kids in, and Holli pulled them down to the pumpkin patch. Afterwards we sat on a blanket and ate some lunch. It was a good time had by all.

Nothing is safe now

Sam is obessed with the TV remotes (of course, he's a boy!) so we would put them in a basket up on the chest. Now that he's walking, he's clearly climbing now too!

Book time with Daddy

Sam and Daddy have their book time every night (well, the ones when Doug makes it home in time) before Sam takes a bath and goes to bed. I just thought it was a cute picture with the two of them crammed in the chair. Check out Sam's big boy shoes! He took about 10-15 steps alone today!

Summer is officially over.

Summer has now passed us by.....it's bittersweet but we're glad that cooler weather (or lack of humidity really) is here to stay. Fingers crossed. It's been a summer of many "firsts" but Sam's most exciting has been his few steps of walking on his own. Sam loves to play outside now. He really loves throwing the ball to Sally and he claps his hands when she runs to get the ball.

We were getting ready to leave for a birthday party for one of Sam's friends and I just had to take a picture of him. He looked so cute!

Sam and Tippy

Sam is 14 months old now and talking up a storm. He loves the dogs.....particularly Tippy's ears. Sorry for the poor light and FoxNews on in the background. I couldn't grab the remote to turn down the volume and as far as the light, well, it was 5:45am. My early riser!

Sam and Brody

My friend Brooke and I went to do some shopping at Sam's Club. The carts there are so big that you can put two kids in there!

Time for another haircut.

Sam's hair grows so fast! He's ready for his third haircut.

Sam is finally able to ride on his little "Retro Rocket".....he loves it!

Playdate with Ashlyn

We went over to my friend Jen's house today to play with her little girl (aka: Sam's girlfriend!) and Sam wanted to take a ride in her little red car. Ashlyn first pushed Sam in the car but then decided that she would like to get into it instead!

Ashlyn finally made it in the car!

Ashlyn was determined to get back into her little red car....whether Sam was in there or not! She managed to take over the wheel in a short period of time. Sam didn't really seem to mind. I think he liked having a pretty girl sit on his lap!

Sam's friends from Pennsylvania

We have had Doug's college buddy come down to visit with his wife and two children, Jake and Sammy. We packed up to head to the arts and science museum for the day!
