Sally!

So, Doug and I just got back from working a trade show in Las Vegas and we stopped by to pick up Sally on the way home. She's cute as can be but....wheww! We forgot how much work a puppy can be.....oh well, we're using it as preparation for what is coming up! Doug slept down on the floor next to her crate last night and she fell right to sleep. He got up several times to let her out.....no accidents last night! We're on our way to being potty trained!

Little Boy!

So, Doug and I went for my 20 week appointment and we found out that we're having a boy! We're really excited....(Doug's excited that his days cutting grass are now numbered!). Here are a few pictures. He was really cute. He is sucking his thumb in one picture and then in the other he takes his thumb out of his mouth so you can see a great picture of his hand. He was measuring exactly where he should be....everything looks great!

Please meet Sally!

So, Doug and I decided that we definitely wanted another Aussie.....and that it would be better to get one now to potty train her before the baby comes in July. We will pick her up next Thursday. We have decided that her name will be Sally. I am just about 5 months pregnant here.......check back tomorrow.....we find out the sex of the baby!

Our Beloved Sydney

In January we lost our beloved Sydney to cancer......it was the toughest thing that we had ever done. Bye Bye Girl.....we love you.

Virginia Tech vs. Florida State

Here are some pictures of the Virginia Tech/Florida State game that we went to in November with The Grieser's, The Moncol's, and The Pfeiffer's. It was really cold.

Finally...the floor!

After many hours of chipping through layers of linoleum and sub-floor.....finally! Hardwoods in tact!

What bathroom floor?

This is a bathroom in one of the apartments.....we discovered that the hardwood floor was completely rotted after removing layers of tile and linoleum. I am in the crawl space of the house poking my head up under the floor.

This is really dirty work!

This is Doug after he removed all of the drop ceiling and insulation in the house to restore the ceilings up to their orginial 14 foot height. Uhhh, yeah....that shirt WAS white. Yuck!

The Corbin House

So, we bought our first investment property back in October (same month the baby was conceived...go figure!). It is three one bedroom, one bath apartments.....it was built in 1925.

Baby Clarke

As most of y'all know, Doug and I are expecting our first baby in the beginning of July. Here are the first ultrasound photos done in November when the baby was about 8 weeks old.
