Sam's first tooth!

Sam is now 6 months old and his first tooth came in just before Christmas. The other one right next to it is almost about in as well. I wish it would hurry up...this teething thing is cranky business!

I was hoping to get a great picture of the dogs and Sam sitting by the tree.....somehow only the tree was in the picture. Oh well, maybe next year.

Sam's first SUCCESSFUL meal

I have tried several times over the last couple of weeks to start Sam on rice cereal with no success. This morning he finally started to move some of the cereal from the front of his mouth to the back and swallow it....success! Although the amount that ended up outside of his mouth was infinitely greater than the amount that went in his mouth, it was success just the same. He even sat in his big boy highchair!

Our Christmas Tree!

After the run we went to the Christmas tree farm and cut down our tree.....as you can see, Sam was worn out after our busy morning.

The Reindeer Run 5K

Doug, Sam and I ran in the Reindeer Run 5k this morning. I pushed the jogger and still managed to finish in 28 minutes flat...not too bad!

Thanksgiving in Charleston, WV

We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Aulenbacher's house.....here we are with two of Sam's cousins, Emma and Ashton.

5 months old

Cabin in Galax, VA

Doug, Sam and I went up to Charleston, WV to spend Thanksgiving with Doug's side of the family. We decided to stop along the way and stay in a cute cabin in Galax, VA. It was beautiful....right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Today Sam and I drove up to Atlanta to spend the day with my friend Abbie and her new little boy William who is now almost 4 weeks. The boys were both on their best behavior while we went out to lunch!

Watching the hokies lose :(

The Griesers came over for the Hokie game yesterday. We all sat outside....it was a beautiful day. It would have been even more beautiful if the Hokies had won! Mary and Steve brought over their new camera and took some great pictures of Sam.

15 weeks today!

I keep trying to capture a smile but it's really hard!

3 1/2 months

Sam is now 3 1/2 months old and his eyes are starting to change a little. I tried to show that in this picture but it's kind of hard to see.....they have become sort of gray/blue with some yellow/light brown around the pupil.

It's chilly!

This morning Sam and I went for walk this morning and it was quite chilly....fall is definitely on it's way here in Georgia.

FINALLY!!!!!

Remember our investment property on Corbin Avenue? Well it's finally finished! Now comes the hard part....finding good renters. I'm posting pictures/descriptions of the property at the local law school, medical center, I'll also post it on Craig's List.

I was feeling a little bold today since he sort of fit in the Bumbo seat.....looks like we're going to have to wait a little while longer!

Sam will be 13 weeks tomorrow and he has made a lot of progress over the last couple of weeks in regards to head control.....so I figured I would try the Bumbo seat. He coos A LOT....particularly when we talk to him. He also now bats at toys and grabs a hold of them!

We all went to breakfast right on the beach on Anna Maria Island.....good food and even better weather!

Sam and I go to Florida

Sam and I flew down to Florida to visit with my mom, step-dad, and sister while Doug went to work in Savannah for the week. He had a week of firsts.....first flight, first "swim". He loved "swimming"!

10 weeks!

Sam is about 12 pounds now and sleeps on average 6-9 hours straight at night! We're loving it!

A tale of two Sams and Emma!

The back seat was jammed full of kids.....we went to the Children's Museum in downtown Macon.

The Aulenbacher cousins come to visit!!

Doug's mom, younger sister Traci and her kids Emma and Sam (known as Big Sam now) came to visit for a few days. Emma was such a big help with Little Sam......she talked to him and watched over him. Big Sam was very fascinated with his new little cousin.

Like father, like son

First of all, let me say that Sam does not sleep in the bed with us.....he's adjusted very well to sleeping in his crib. But, I went to go take the dogs out so I put Sam in bed with Doug and when I came back this is what I found. Both looking at the TV and each have their right arm behind their head.

Sam showed his support for the Hokies yesterday. Virginia Tech played GA Tech.

9 weeks old today!

Awww....8 weeks old, isn't he cute!

Sam will be 8 weeks old tomorrow....time really flies!

Getting close to using the jogger....I think.

I reclined the jogger all the way back and decided to try it out. Sam fit in there a lot better than I thought that he would.....maybe having a running partner isn't too far in the future! For now, I just tested it out by walking down to the end of the driveway and back up. I think that I'll stick to walking him in it for now and running on my own while his Daddy watches him. Oh, he was taking a huge poop in one of these pictures......can you guess which one?! Pretty obvious, huh!

Getting ready for football season

Doug, Sam, and I sat outside to eat dinner and watch the start of college football season. Sam didn't seem too interested! I don't blame him though.....the game was Temple vs. Army.
